What to Expect from the Wine and Dine Over The Rhine Food Tour
Our newest tour takes place in the hip and trendy Over the Rhine neighborhood. Since it is an evening tour, the neighborhood is hopping with lots of people eating, drinking and having fun. Even in the middle of the week, there is a lot of energy, conversation and music in the restaurants. We still get the VIP treatment which is little or no waiting to be served! This tour is different from our other tours. It's a little more fast paced, but still a fun and informative food & culture tour with many great stops!
Depending on their availability, at The Anchor, known for their fresh seafood, we may enjoy Crawfish Beignets or Fried Calamari. Across the street is Zula, where we may have one of their wonderful Artisan Flat Breads.
We head to Vine Street where our choices may include Panino, where all the meats are prepared in house from local farmers - nothing artificial. How does a truffle+honey +fresh mozzarella panini sound or maybe a charcuterie board to nibble from? Or Kruegers Tavern which features one of the few rooftop terraces in OTR. Kreugers grinds their beef in house and makes their own sausage.
Next we head off to Revel Urban Winery where we enjoy a glass of wine. This boutique winery specialize in handcrafted small batch wines using a process that originated in Italy by the Maieron family. An alternate location for wines and beer is Lachey's, the only Sports Bar in OTR and the namesake of hometown brothers Nick & Drew Lachey.
We'll take a little stroll down to Walnut street to visit Che', an Argentine restaurant with the best empanadas you've ever tasted! Finally, we'll end up at Buzzed Bull Creamery where your dessert is created from simple pure ingredients to ice cream right before our eyes! Through in some fresh ingredients and a shot of booze and you have a buzzed ice cream treat!
CULTURAL, HISTORIC AND ARCHITECTURAL EXPERIENCES
Over the Rhine is famous for having the nation’s largest collection of 19th-century Italianate architecture. This is “the” place to go for trendy eateries, eclectic bars and chic retro clothes and furnishings.
