We enjoy fish and chips and a small draft beer inside an authentic Irish Pub. Next, we visit a restaurant named after one of Covington’s baseball players, known for their BBQ. Have you heard the fairy tale The Three Billy Goats Gruff? It’s the namesake of another popular restaurant known for hearth-baked pizzas. We conclude at Blinker’s Tavern for the best bread pudding in town. It is a satisfying and filling lunch.

Roebling Bridge has been an iconic landmark over the Ohio River for over 150 years. We will explore it firsthand and walk to the first pier, absorbing the beautiful skyline of Cincinnati, Ohio. We will stroll through the Licking Riverside past million-dollar historic mansions. Learn the history of the 1939 devasting flood and see story-high public murals. We dine at four restaurants and enjoy 4 savory dishes, one small craft beer and dessert.

We walk 1.5 miles over the course of 3 hours. We rate this tour as physically moderate. Guests may decline the climbing two flights of stairs to the Roebling Bridge.

In our experience, children 10 and older, interested in history will enjoy the tour. Children five years and younger are free, but do not receive any food. Parents may share or bring snacks.
