Savor four savory dishes, a small craft beer, and dessert at locally-owned eateries. We begin in front of Molly Malone’s one of the oldest buildings in Covington KY. We enjoy fish and chips and a small draft beer inside an authentic Irish Pub. Next, we visit a restaurant named after one of Covington’s baseball players, known for their BBQ. Have you heard the fairy tale The Three Billy Goats Gruff? It’s the namesake of another popular restaurant known for hearth-baked pizzas. We conclude at Blinker’s Tavern for the best bread pudding in town. It is a satisfying and filling lunch.

Enjoy breathtaking views of the Cincinnati skyline and the Ohio River. Learn the history of the founding of Covington and the Roebling Bridge with the use of old photos.   • On this progressive lunch tour, we begin at Molly Malone's, an authentic Irish Pub, owned by an Irish immigrant. Enjoy their best-selling item; fish and chips. Pair it with an Irish beer on tap.
  • See and hear the story of the Ascent, designed by a famous NY architect from Poland.
  • Did you know in 1913 that the Cincinnati Reds were not the only game in town? Visit Smoke Justis, known for incredible smoked meats and named after a famous pitcher.
  • Since we're sitting inside a beautiful Italian Renaissance building, the Citizens Telephone Company,  learn about the history of telephones.
  • Now it's time to explore the Roebling Suspension Bridge, the first to span the Ohio River in 1866. We walk to the first pier, absorbing the beautiful skyline of Cincinnati, Ohio.
  • See 18 public works of art along the flood wall below the bridge. See the history of Covington unfold on these two story murals.
  • Our third stop is named after a child's fairy tale, The Three Billy Goats Gruff. Once you see the location, you'll understand why. This quirky deli serves the best pizza and fresh deli sandwiches in town.
  • Stroll through the historic Licking Riverside neighborhood, past million-dollar mansions built in the mid 1800's.

We walk 1.5 miles over the course of 3 hours. We rate this tour as physically moderate. Guests may decline the climbing two flights of stairs to the Roebling Bridge.

It depends on the child’s age and attention span. We leave it to the parents to decide whether a 3-hour walking/streetcar tour is appropriate for their child. In our experience, children 10 and older, interested in history will enjoy the tour. Children five years and younger are free, but do not receive any food. Parents may share or bring snacks. Children age six and older require a ticket.
