We welcome families with children on all our tours!
Since it depends on the child’s age and attention span, we leave it to the parents to decide whether a 2.5-3-hour walking tour is appropriate for their child. In our experience, children 10 and older, interested in history will enjoy the tour.
Children five years and younger are free, but do not receive any food. Parents may share or bring snacks. Children ages six and older require a ticket.
Wear casual, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Bring an umbrella if needed, a water bottle for hydration in warm weather, and cash for gratuities or small purchases.
We walk less than one mile over the course of 3 hours. This tour is easy due to the level surfaces, tree-lined streets, and park benches. There may be a step up to the entrance, at a few of the restaurants.

Our guide (David) was knowledgeable and easy to listen to. We saw a tremendous selection of Cincinnati sights and enjoyed several food highlights spaced throughout the tour. Even though it was a walking tour (and I'm 67 with a bad knee!) I was able to keep up without problems. The pace was easy with frequent stops for sightseeing and briefings. I highly recommed this to those interested in seeing and learning about the city and its history up close.

I'm a bit late, but I couldn't let this AMAZING tour go without a review! First of all, Laura is the best guide anyone could ask for. She was really friendly and accommodating. She taught us things about Findlay market and Cincinnati that I never knew. And I've lived in Cincinnati my entire life! But I digress. Laura took is to some spectacular restaurants! I even tried Goetta for the first time and it was really good! And she made sure to take plenty of pictures and emailed them to us once the tour was over. I would DEFINITELY recommend taking the food tour with Laura and I would give WAY more stars if I could!

This was the second tour I have taken with Riverside, and even as a native of Cincinnati I learned some more historical facts that I had never heard. Terry was a great guide, he knew his history as well as what was happening with all the new renovations and changes going on in downtown Cincinnati. He tied it all together seamlessly. The food was great - and plenty of it. Won't need dinner tonight! We went to different restaurants than last time, and the variety and types of food was spot on. Hioghly recommend!

It was a small group of only 4 which made it even more personable! David was thoughtful enough to have a candle lit in my husband’s ice cream and sang Happy Birthday to him since it was his birthday! Great Touch! The food selections were perfect. The stopping points and history provided at each stop and while walking were very interesting. We loved every aspect of this tour!
