Since it depends on the child’s age and attention span, we leave it to the parents to decide whether a 2.5-3-hour walking tour is appropriate for their child. In our experience, children 10 and older, interested in history will enjoy the tour. Children five years and younger are free, but do not receive any food. Parents may share or bring snacks. Children ages six and older require a ticket.
Wear casual, weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes. Bring an umbrella if needed, a water bottle for hydration in warm weather, and cash for gratuities or small purchases.
We walk less than one mile over the course of 3 hours. This tour is easy due to the level surfaces, tree-lined streets, and park benches. There may be a step up to the entrance, at a few of the restaurants.
